What is the schedule for the tournament day?

9:00 am – 3:00 pm:

Open courts (excluding those used for pro clinics) available for social play

3:00 pm – 6:00 pm:

Group Phase: Round robin matches & first knockout games (across 4 courts)

6:00 pm – 6:20 pm:

Semi-final matches

6:20 pm - 6:40 pm:

Tournament final

6:40 pm – 7:00 pm:

Awards & toasts

7:00 pm onwards:

How are the matches structured?

Round robin phase:

24 teams are divided into 4 groups (a, b, c, d) of 6 teams each. teams play against every other team in their group once.

First knockout games:

The top 2 teams from each group advance. matchups are as follows...

Winner of group A  vs  Runner-up of group B

Winner of group B vs Runner-up of group A

Winner of group C vs Runner-up of group D

Winner of group D vs Runner-up of group C

Semi-finals:

Winners from the knockout phase proceed to the semi-finals.

Final:

winners of the semi-finals compete for the championship.

 What match format and scoring systems will be used?

Group Phase | Round robin matches...

                                    Format: first to 4 games win

                                 Scoring: no-ad scoring (golden point).

Explanation: In no-ad scoring, when the game score reaches deuce (40-40), the next point decides the game.

                 Knockout stages (semi-finals and final)...

                                    Format: first to 1 set win

                                 Scoring: no-ad scoring (golden point as outlined above)

Explanation: a set is won by the first team to reach 6 games with a two-game lead.

Tie-breaker: if the set reaches 6-6, a tie-breaker will be played to determine the winner.
